How it Works
Mental Mountains Project was founded by Keith Batenhorst after his own struggle with mental health. MMP will raise funds to provide proper mental health care services for those who otherwise couldn't afford it and create awareness for the Mental Health Community.

MMP is built on raising money through an annual expedition to climb a mountain of choice (updates on expeditions will be found here). To create awareness about our climb throughout the year we will be participating in other outdoor and endurance sports to engage in the endurance community. Throughout his own journey with mental health, Keith was able to find an outlet through the outdoors and being in the mountains. For our first project, we will be attempting to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro at 19,341 feet in July of 2024. If you're interested in joining on the journey spots are still available as of September 2023!
